my sad ash wednesday story from a few years ago.
so i think ash wednesday freshman year coincided with with winterbreak or something because I made plans to go to the mall with some friends.
Got my ashes before going and it was a really good time. I remember sharing in silent solidarity with the few people I saw who bore their ashes (a couple families, a really hipster lady, and a custodian)
